Meet Linda Wright Lulkovich Transition Committee Chair

So, I have been asked “Who Am I?” which I think really means, “What makes me qualified to serve on your Transition Committee”?   I will try to give you some background information.

I was born in Ohio and moved to Arizona in 1956.  I attended Scottsdale High School and later graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Secondary Education.  After working in education and raising a family, I realized my interest and expertise was better suited for the business world so acquired a real estate license and sold real estate in Scottsdale.  That position created a path for over 35-years in mortgage lending working in many capacities and eventually opening my own business, Hacienda Lending, Inc.

To be licensed in Arizona in both lending and real estate, one is required to attend classes, pass school and state tests, pass background checks and pledge to subscribe to behavior of the highest integrity.   Additionally, the state requires many hours of continuing education each time you renew your license.  Both my licenses are kept current.  The nature of both businesses requires an understanding of all aspects of the business to include contracts, valuation, underwriting guidelines and documentation, law, insurance and so forth.

Additionally, I have worked with property owners’ associations in both lending and real estate related transactions.  I have also served in leadership of FireRock Ridge HOA.  This experience was very helpful in getting the training needed to understand the specific functions of the HOA management business.

Last, I believe in giving back to my profession and community.  I proudly served the Arizona Association of Mortgage Professionals in many leadership capacities over the years and was named “Arizona Mortgage Professional of the Year” in 2000 and 2014.  I have also been involved in Rotary International where husband, Tom and I have volunteered in many activities, service and leadership.  Rotary District 5510 recognized me with the Rotary District “Service Above Self “award in 2007.   Now I am looking forward to serving this community too along with your help and support.
